USM Champion of the prestigious TAR UMT x CIMA Business Challenge 2026
School of Management, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) is proud to announce that its team, APEX-iMAX has emerged as the Champion of the prestigious TAR UMT x CIMA Business Challenge 2026. In an outstanding showcase of individual brilliance, team member Muhammad Zulhilmi Abdul Rashid was also awarded the highly coveted Future Business Leader Award.
On 18 June 2026, the finalists competed in the ultimate round of the challenge. Out of 16 exceptional teams entering the preliminary stage, USM successfully advanced through the competitive pool into the Top 4 Finalists, securing the grand prize through rigorous business strategy formulation and financial appraisal.
The team's success was heavily supported by their dedicated mentor, Ms Dayana Mastura, whose visionary guidance and academic inspiration pushed the students to expand their strategic boundaries. The team consists of four highly committed accounting students: Amsyar Nurhakim bin Abdul Rashid(Leader), Muhammad Zulhilmi bin Abdul Rashid, Ayumi Hayana binti Azhar, and Muhammad Nabil bin Mohd Yusof
The selection and victory of these students reflect their enthusiasm for continuous learning, strategic agility, and professional excellence. The panel of judges commended the team's presentation quality and analytical precision, providing valuable insights that will further nurture their development as future-ready graduates.
